The Achere Foundation in partnership with FINISTECH, GRADES OF GREEN, AFAF, ECOFREINDS, THINK GREEN under the Achere Foundation’s Educational Program, celebrates EARTH DAY 2023. It is important to educate the younger generation on environmental protection so the apply the right knowledge and skills in protecting the future environment.

One of the ways to slow and rollback the effects of climate change hence care for the Earth is to invest in tree planting. Trees release oxygen and emit about half of the carbon dioxide they absorb and store (sequestrate) the rest in the soil, their roots, stems and branches) as biomass while they are alive. It is for this reason that global days like Earth Day, World Environment Day etc. are celebrated annually to raise awareness and create action for the protection of the environment.

The Earth Day celebration had as Theme “Invest in our Planet”. The aim of this Earth’s Day celebration was;

“Raise awareness amongst youths of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generation”
