Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the holiday season or a festive season observed with gift-giving, family meetings, religious services, parties, and other holiday-specific traditions.

The Event, “A Smile For Christmas” seeks to create a Christmas memory in the hearts of orphans, less privileged children. A majority of the time these children spend Christmas in the orphanage and not in family homes. They often get the stigma of rejection, sadness, and not being welcome and turn to wonder if they are loved.

Achere Foundation is here to make them feel loved and not rejected, taking them out of their usual homes (orphanages) and putting them in an environment that brings out life, love, positivity, playfulness, and freedom, and that takes away that stigma of being an orphan. Celebrating Christmas with them in the whole sense of Christmas as a child, giving out love and making it memorable.
